The Ducky ONE 2 mini gaming keyboard shines with a very minimalist exterior and a mixture of new features and proven design concepts. The usual reliable Cherry MX switches are used and are combined by Ducky with PBT double-shot buttons. The feature package is packaged in a slim, black and white housing without a number pad and arrow keys with a very narrow and stylish frame and rounded off with an RGB LED backlight.

Cherry MX Brown switches are used in this version. Keyboards with Cherry MX Brown switches are a compromise between a pure gaming keyboard and an ideal typing keyboard. When you press the buttons, you have to overcome a slight resistance that noticeably signals that the contact has tripped. Since you can feel the two very close switching points very well, you not only write noticeably faster, but can also trigger multiple clicks with very little travel in succession.

The housing of the Ducky ONE 2 mini gaming keyboard is two-tone: while the top is black, the frame and bottom of the keyboard are white. The keycaps are made of polybutylene terephthalate, or PBT for short, are manufactured using the double-shot process and are significantly more durable than keys made with ABS (acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene).

The highlight of the Ducky ONE 2 mini gaming keyboard is without a doubt the professional RGB LED lighting, with which practically unlimited design possibilities can be realized. It offers a total of twelve different lighting modes, one of which is more unusual than the other. The special highlight of the Ducky keyboards is the completely software-free configuration of the RGB lighting. All settings and changes can be made using different key combinations.
Functions & features of the Ducky ONE 2 mini gaming keyboard
The very popular mechanical Cherry MX switches are almost "unbreakable" and, depending on the switch used, ideally suited for the individual gamer types. Thanks to USB-N-Key-Rollover, any number of keys can be pressed simultaneously without "ghosting" or other delays. The 1,000 Hz report rate of the USB connection is helpful here, as it sends data from the keyboard to the PC every millisecond. There is a USB Type-C connector on the keyboard, in which the removable cable is inserted, which has the typical Type-A connector at the other end. Also comfortable are the two rubber feet on the back, which are height adjustable in three steps.

The powerful ARM-M3 micro controller of the Ducky ONE 2 Mini controls and stores the selected LED effects. In addition, it optimizes communication between the keyboard and the PC while at the same time enabling additional functions, including the use of macros and the profile memory. In addition to multimedia functions, Ducky Macro V2.0 also enables the mouse pointer to be controlled using the keyboard.

This compact keyboard layout not only lacks the number pad, the arrow keys, the block with the insert and delete key as well as the print, numlock and pause keys have been omitted. The entire row of F keys is also not available. All missing keys have been integrated into the remaining 61 keys and can be activated with the Fn key. This TKL-Mini or 60 percent layout results in an extremely portable and lightweight keyboard.
